Marketing mails from Merchants with deals

I'm lucky enough to have buy.com as one of my merchants on an affiliate program I joined before I started using Prosperent exclusively and they send me emails (including 2-3 others) with deals and exclusive offers.

I imagine Prosperent get's a ton of these e-mails and it sort of filters through to thenetpool and their facebook/forum pages.

Would there be any chance of also getting those emails with offers from merchants or is it a bit too much to ask for? I figure it would give us more of an advantage in our marketing strategies (like facebook/twitter feeds) to be able to go through the data and post them ourselves.

Feel free to tell me I'm an idiot for requesting this ;)

You could always go old-school with this. Create a mailing list people can subscribe to by sending an e-mail to it. The merchants will then inadvertently send all their marketing mails out to everyone who subscribes to that particular address.

I'm too tired to try and remember what the name was of services like these... but it was way back... like pre-2000
