Is there a feature or offering that you wish an affiliate network provided? A way to integrate products into your site that would make things easier for you? Consider this thread your wish list :)
1. Personally, I'd like for there to be some mechanism that would allow me to determine whether or not an API key belonged to an individual from my referral base. (Just a True/False response would be enough.) I want to create a special community for those who fall in my downline and offer them special support and technical attention with scripts and what not.
2. I'd like to see brand images.
3. I would like Prosperent to duplicate everything that Amazon does with their affiliate widgets, including carousel, product cloud, aStore, and banners.
4. Normalizing "categories" would be awesome (because it's next to near impossible to standardize them all!).
5. Being able to display more than 100 bestsellers would be awesome, and being able to send more than 100 items from an array would be cool too. But I'm sure there comes a point where there's no difference in income despite the number served.
6. More merchants, more merchants, more merchants! :)

#1 I can run that by the team. I'm sure we can come up with something.
#2 would be difficult. There are well over 100,000 brands in our catalog. It's hard enough getting logos for all of the merchants, and there are only around 3,000 of those. I think our only course of action there is to bug the merchants for the data.
#3 Widgets don't seem to convert very well, but all of that could be done pretty easily with the api. We have some other tools coming soon though ;)
#4 Completely agree. Normalizing categories is one we are slowly working on. Again, there are nearly infinite possibilities. We have 3,000 merchants with 3,000 different category structures. It might not even be possible to normalize, but we are looking at it anyway.
#5 We will have to take a look at the performance implications of that :)
#6 Adding new merchants almost daily

Sometimes I create some affiliate link and place it to facebook or other social site and there is not set any HttpHost and Referer.
So when you process and log affil clicks (before you make redirect) You could for requests with empty parameter httphost set this information from HTTP Header(referrer).

Weird, if we can ever get ahold of an HTC sensation we will have to look at it.

I thought I saw something in another thread about wordpress tools. Is that true? If so, any time frame on that. Most of the sites I build are with wordpress.
Thanks

We have a few things. First, the performance ad updates we are working on are awesome! We learned a lot from the data we collected in the last round. Now we are analyzing things in a FAR more intelligent way. these new ads, once ready will really change things for the better.
We also have a wordpress search plugin coming up which will be similar in nature to our vbulletin plugin we recently launched.
Finally, we are working on a new tool completely that I can't really discuss just yet, but it's another big one that will be of value to anyone no matter the type of site.
Our big focus has been on developing more intelligent algorithm's that are able to better determine what a page is about and classify it so we are able to better monetize the various content on the page. It's going to be a BIG year for all of us :)

If money and demand permits, how about a workshop from beginners to advance? That means traveling to Colorado or NYC?

Hey, Brian. I'm just doing a follow up on this one; I recently (as in minutes ago) had an add-on coded for my forum that achieves this function -- all I need to complete this project is for the structure on Prosperent's side to be in place. I know you guys are busy, but I hope something can still be done. :)
In essence, anytime I do an API request, I must first send over my personal API key. This API key must be valid in order for any request to be processed any further, else everything halts and an invalid API error happens. What I would like is to send a second API key over to Prosperent. At this point, Prosperent would have two API keys: the first one that initiated the request, and the second one that is the subject matter of the request. All I'm looking for is a true/false response from Prosperent: is the second API a referral of the first API (up to one or two levels deep)?

Right now we have the entire team focused on the new performance ads and such. That is our top priority. When we have some free time, we can look at the situation. Right now it's something we have only had one request for, so it can't be a high priority.

Do you plan sorting products by best selling?
prosperent brian

You can get a lot of that data now through trends.
For the api directly (and performance ads), we are developing algorithm's that will take brand, merchant, and product conversion metrics into account when displaying products. One of the many things we are cranking away at.
