    This is great for affiliates that have been hit by nexus laws. If you work with merchants that have dropped you based on the state you live in, contact us and let us know the merchant name. We will work to add it to the Link Optimizer.

    url for this endpoint is:
    PHP Code:
    http://prosperent.com/api/linkoptimizer
    parameters are:
    PHP Code:
    apikeysidurl
    Your request url should look like this:

    PHP Code:
    http://prosperent.com/api/linkoptimizer/url?apiKey=<YOUR API KEY>&sid=MYSID&url=<MERCHANT URL>
    Or, instead of printing back the url, you can have the url automatically redirect by changing /url? to /redirect?:

    PHP Code:
    http://prosperent.com/api/linkoptimizer/redirect?apiKey=<YOUR API KEY>&sid=MYSID&url=<MERCHANT URL>
    Working example:

    PHP Code:
    http://prosperent.com/api/linkoptimizer/url?apiKey=b85f3b3c89a1299467cdb404747da915&sid=12345&url=http://www.amazon.com/Cole-Haan-Mens-Glenn-Chukka/dp/B00BECGKXO/ref=pd_rhf_se_s_cp_5_XGF0?ie=UTF8&refRID=13B1XW7HP5KRAYEDMRPJ
    The url will give you back a Prosperent affiliate url that will take your visitor to the closest matching product from our highest converting merchant at that moment based on the Amazon product url provided (in this case, the same product from Nordstrom).

    Add any of the following parameters to change the format: format={text,json,jsonp}.

    jsonp example:
    PHP Code:
    http://prosperent.com/api/linkoptimizer/apiKey=b85f3b3c89a1299467cdb404747da915&sid=12345&format=jsonp&url?url=http://www.amazon.com/Cole-Haan-Mens-Glenn-Chukka/dp/B00BECGKXO/ref=pd_rhf_se_s_cp_5_XGF0?ie=UTF8&refRID=13B1XW7HP5KRAYEDMRPJ

    What's return when it can't match product from other merchant?

    Is it possible return Merchant's name that API can match too?
    {"data":{
    "url":"http:\/\/prosperent.com\/click\/api\/linkoptimizer\/apikey\/b85f3b3c89a1299467cdb404747da915\/sid\/12345\/url\/http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FCole-Haan-Mens-Glenn-Chukka%2Fdp%2FB00BECGKXO%2Fref%3Dpd_rhf_se_s_cp_5_ XGF0%3Fie%3DUTF8",
    "merchant":"Nodstrom"
    }}

    Now, Is it work with Amazon Euro URL (eg. IT, DE, FR)?

    Thanks for new API

    Do you guys have Amazon in your database??

    We have an Amazon account for Prosperent as of late yesterday. Still finalizing things with their biz dev team. For now, we are able to rewrite existing amazon links and send the traffic to our merchants. This is great for affiliates that used to promote amazon, but have nexus law issues preventing them from working together. Unfortunately, even a sub affiliate network like ours still has to follow the nexus law rules set forth by Amazon.

    what happens if nothing is found for the amazon link? does it just go into dead space?

    would there be an API end-point in future where we could punch in an amazon url and get details of the matching product/merchant back? that would do WONDERS for comparison shopping, especially if you already have sites showing Amazon products through their API

    It would be VERY rare not to find a match in our system (we haven't seen it happen yet). With that said, we still have options. By default, if it doesn't find a match, it just returns the original url, so the amazon link would still be used. Another option is to send the query over to ebay for example. The same can happen in reverse. If we no longer have a product in our catalog, we could send a user to an Amazon search page with the query already pre-filled. We just have to tst and see what makes the most $$$ for people.

    You could actually do what you described already with the Amazon url. If you have an amazon url, you likely have the product name already as well. Just send that to our api as a query and display comparable products from our result set.

    Right now, the original url is returned if no matching product is found.

    We can definitely return the merchant name in the data node. We basically just want to put these tools out, see how people use them, then improve upon them.

    Can you submit your merchant name suggestion here: http://jira.prosperent.com/browse/SUGS

    Keeping all of our bugs and suggestions in our new tracking system really helps us stay on top of these issues, and it helps us let you know our progress

    What I want to do is built on top of dechsiri's suggestion. The product with merchant and/or min/max price will display alternative to the amazon product price.

    Currently I mix amazon/ebay data with prosperent data, but because I can't link an amazon product with the product returned by prosperent, it shows up twice in a search result. I still want to monetize as far as possible without the user having to click "back" or "search" again, so when the amazon/ebay product displays, it will display the merchant/price as an alternative as well on the same product detail page. If they select the product on prosperent's index, I want to display if the product is available on Amazon/Ebay as well
