To SSL or not to SSL, what was the question?

I see Google recently stated they're trying to get people to start adopting SSL for a slight boost in rankings, and that slight boost will start to become more and more as they get more people to adopt SSL.

Any thoughts on this? I'm trying to think of a positive impact this will have except for the negative one on my pocket.

I can't imagine there being much benefit of doing it right now. My guess would be that the seo impact would be minimal as well. If you decide to do it, cloudflare would be the easiest option.

Cloudflare is $20 a month for 1 site compared to a once off $10 though. Bit expensive

Okay you just totally blew my mind...

They're also releasing a CDN point in South Africa which my local sites will benefit off of. SICK indeed
